Privacy Policy

Tmzn is a time zone app from Clientside. We collect as little as possible: no account, no advertising, and no selling of personal information. What leaves your device is limited to the requests below.

Stored on your device

Your saved locations, schedules, and preferences stay on your device (and any device backups you make). Deleting the app removes this data. We do not sync your location list to a cloud account.

What the app sends

Only when a feature needs it, and only the fields required for that request:

Weather — coordinates of a saved location, when weather is enabled.
Holidays — country, and region if available, for a saved location.
First-launch city suggestion — a one-time coarse IP lookup via Google’s Geolocation API (no GPS permission). We do not store the IP; we only use the returned coordinates to pick a nearby city from our onboard data.
Coupon redeem — the coupon code you enter.
Premium — purchase and restore status from Apple or Google. Payment details stay with them.

Analytics

We use Amplitude for anonymous product events (for example app open, location added/removed, settings toggled, purchase result). Events never include location names, coordinates, time zones, or location IDs — only counts and similar non-identifying properties. We disable advertising IDs and most automatic device/network fields in the SDK. Analytics is not used for ads.

Website

Visiting tmzn.co may generate ordinary hosting logs (such as IP address, user agent, and the page requested). That is separate from app data.
